“Millions of stars, a night to remember.

Capturing nature’s beauty, infusing life into my art.”

From a young age, art has been my sanctuary—a world where time slows and creativity flows freely. I can still vividly recall those early days, watching Bob Ross paint on our old VCR which my father recored, his passion for art igniting a spark within me. My father, too, nurtured my love for creativity, painting Disney characters on dried squash shells and building birdhouses from matchsticks. Drawing became my daily ritual, a magical escape where pencil and paper became my closest companions.

When the time came to choose my path, I pursued my dream and enrolled in Seoul National University of Science and Technology to study ceramic design. Here, amidst new materials and techniques, my artistic horizons expanded, and I discovered the joy of shaping clay into expressions of beauty and meaning.

Yet, it was a move to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, that transformed my perspective. Surrounded by majestic mountains, meandering rivers, and skies that unveiled the Milky Way in all its splendor, I found myself deeply connected to the natural world. These landscapes became my muse, inspiring me to infuse my art with the essence of this breathtaking environment. The arrival of my beloved children only deepened this connection, reinforcing my desire to preserve and share the wonders of nature through my work.

Teaching art has become another profound passion. I firmly believe in the transformative power of art education, especially for young minds. Watching children discover their creativity, expand their imaginations, and take pride in their creations fills me with joy and purpose. With adults, I encourage them to rediscover the joy of creating without inhibition, tapping into the pure essence of artistic expression.

Art, for me, is not just about technical skill; it’s about the ability to heal and communicate. It enriches our lives by allowing us to convey powerful messages and emotions in ways that words cannot. Through art, we connect deeply with ourselves and others, transcending boundaries and creating lasting impressions.

As I continue to evolve as an artist and educator, my mission remains clear: to celebrate the beauty of nature, inspire creativity, and instill a lifelong appreciation for the arts in all who cross my path. Art has indeed made my life richer, and I am committed to sharing its transformative magic with the world.
